CALDWELL, Idaho — A teen missing for more than a year was found safe, according to Caldwell Police.
Police say 16-year-old Amber Nicole Thompson ran away in Sept. 22, 2016. She's now 17 years old. CPD said she hadn't had any contact with family or friends since she left.
Wednesday night, the police department announced, on social media, the teen was found safe.
UPDATE:
The Idaho Press-Tribune reports that Thompson turned herself in to Las Vegas Law enforcement Wednesday and her mother is in Las Vegas to see her daughter.
When Amber went missing she was staying with family in Caldwell while her parents were away. She disappeared when waiting for a school bus and never arrived at school.
