Fire restrictions still in effect for the Boise National Forest

IDAHO CITY, Idaho (CBS 2) — The Boise County Sheriff wants to remind folks that there's still plenty of fire danger remaining within the county.

"It is the only district that is still under these restrictions in the state of Idaho," the sheriff's office wrote on social media.

The Boise National Forest is under Stage 1 fire restrictions, meaning only campfires in designated fire rings are allowed and fires on private property cannot be bigger than three feet with flames higher than two feet.

It's unclear when the restrictions can be lifted.
