A popular journalist with News Nation and formerly with NewsLink Indiana, Grace Bentkowski, has sadly died.

Grace’s stunning death has shocked the news media, particularly in Indiana, where she was a local favorite.

Tributes have been pouring in remembering Grace as a bastion of integrity and passion.

Grace Bentkowski was an American journalist, anchor, reporter, and social media manager from Dyer, Indiana, who was known for her professional reporting and bubbly personality.

Bentkowski graduated from Lake Central High School in 2020 where she passed out with an Academic Honors diploma.

She proceeded to Ball State University for a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications and Journalism from 2020 – 2024.

In her own words, Bentkowski considered herself as a “eager and experience-hungry journalist skilled in broadcasting, news writing, reporting, photography, and social media management…. with a renewed passion for storytelling, eyes for visuals, and an initiative attitude,”

Throughout her education, Grace built up an impressive resumé with a string of internships and part-time work.

She worked as a news anchor and social media manager for Waking Up with Cardinal Weather in Muncie for three years and three months before taking a Digital News Producer gig at WANE 15 on a part-time basis.

While studying towards her degree, Bentkowski worked for nearly four years on a part-time basis as a News Director, Anchor and Reporter at NewsLink Indiana, her most prominent role before securing permanent employment as the Associate Creative Producer at NewsNation.

She was only in that role for three months before her tragic death.

Grance Bentkowski built a solid and impressive body of work in her career despite her short time on this earth and this was highlighted by NewsLink Indiana who eulogized her following her passing.

“It is with profound sadness that we mourn the passing of Grace Bentkowski, our beloved former News Director and graduate of 2024,” the company wrote in a Facebook post.

“Grace was a beacon of integrity, passion, and dedication in journalism. Her unwavering commitment to truth and excellence touched countless lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and all who had the honor of working with her. She’s truly been the hallmark of NewsLink’s legacy,”

Grace Bentkowski may have passed but her legacy of excellence, dedication, and professionalism forever lives on.

May she rest in peace.
