Russell Westbrook is one of the finest players ever to play in the NBA and is hall of fame worthy for his gameplay throughout his career. He has completed 14 years in the league and currently, in his 15th year he is playing for the Los Angeles Lakers as a point guard. Russ had already gained national attention for his athleticism before being selected by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2008 NBA Draft
While he may be only a shadow of his former self he continues to be a player that the fans love. A player of his stature definitely deserves a signature line in his shoes. Russell Westbrook inked a deal with Air Jordan in the year 2018. He has a 10-year deal with the brand that he signed in 2017. Earlier he had signed it in 2013 for a 5-year deal that was due to end in 2018. While the exact nature and value of the deal haven’t been made public it is estimated to be around ($150-200 million).
It’s fair to argue that Russell Westbrook’s first trademark shoe, known as the Jordan “Why Not Zero.1”, was a little overdue by the time he was 29 years old, the reigning MVP in 2018, and a seven-time NBA All-Star. The Why Not Zero.1 was formally presented by Jordan at their Future of Flight event in Los Angeles
Russell Westbrook then during its press release had said, “As a kid growing up in LA and standing in line to get other people’s shoes, you become aware of how fortunate you are to get sneakers. To be able to sit here now and hold my own shoe is an honor.”

The “Bright Crimson,” variant of the Lakers‘ star’s newest signature sneaker with Jordan Brand was initially revealed to the public in November. The blazing Iron Man-inspired colorway, which is a continuation of his “Why Not” series, was not designed for the faint of heart. However, it appears like the Jordan Why Not 0.6 “Phantom Orange Trance” and is an even more subtle pair for Westbrook.
While not a lot is known about this model, it looks like a winner too because it combines a simple color scheme with technical materials. Since it’s not released yet a lot of information about the Jordan Why Not 0.6 Phantom Orange Trance is still not made public at the moment, but according to sources, they will be available in men’s sizes in the spring of 2023 for $140.
