Booker T called AEW wrestler Rey Fenix the ‘Heir Apparent’ to Rey Mysterio

AEW wrestlers, The Lucha Brothers, Rey Fenix, and Pentagon Jr., have been the talk of the town due to their contract situation. Rumors suggest they will be heading to WWE from the Jacksonville-based company once their contracts expire. Booker T shared his opinion on The Lucha Brothers and explained why he is excited to see them in WWE.

While speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, the 59-year-old veteran expressed his desire for them to come to WWE. However, he was particularly eager to see Rey Fenix out of the two brothers. King Booker mentioned that the AEW wrestler resembled Rey Mysterio and called him his heir. The Hall of Famer further added that Fenix was on another level.

I love the Lucha Brothers, I'd love to see those guys ... that damn Rey Fenix, I said he's the heir apparent to Rey Mysterio. That's how good this dude is. His popularity has skyrocketed as well. I don't see those guys being a tag team for too long in the WWE system, Just because that damn Rey Fenix is on another level. He really is that good.

Amidst all the controversies, Tony Khan might try to stop two of his original stars from going to WWE. The AEW co-owner could potentially intervene by invoking a clause that allows for injury time, ultimately preventing them from making any potential moves. Only time will tell what transpires in the upcoming weeks.
