Here is a list of some of the events happening in the Treasure Valley Tuesday night:
Watch the potato drop at the Idaho State Capitol in Downtown Boise.
- This is Idaho's signature holiday event!
- It is FREE and there will be events in Cecil D. Andrus Park featuring music, sports and live art performances.

Zee's Rooftop/CW Penthouse in Boise will be hosting a Family-Friendly New Year's Eve Event.
- It's open to all ages.
- It costs $20.
- Includes "heavy appetizers" by Chef Zee, two rounds of trivia with a game night at 8/10 p.m., a DJ and dancing, rooftop views of fireworks, champagne toast at midnight (Martenelli's for the kids), cash bar with local beer and wine, and hot cocoa.

- Micky & the Motorcars is an alternative country band formed in Stanley, Idaho that is now based in Austin, Texas.
- They will be performing on Dec. 31 starting at 8 p.m.

Go see Emmett's fifth annual Cherry Rise.
- Emmett will conduct its fifth annual Cherry Rise to ring in another New Year at the Bowman Family Memorial Park on the corner of Main and Washington.
- Over the last four events the Payette River Regional Technical Academy (PR2TA) pre-engineering students have constructed, then improved, the lighted cherry that forms the focal point of the celebration. This year is no exception.
- Frontier Cinema kicks off the celebration at 9:30 p.m. with a free-to-the-public showing of Spider Man—Far from Home.
- Hot chocolate, thanks to the Emmett High School Wrestling Team, will be available at Bowman Park during the lift and just around the corner from the movie theater.
